OK guys, im going to list a few things that i think you should take into consideration before starting a project!
Hope this helps guys!!
- Be financially prepared. Projects and parts don't come cheap!! If its quality that your looking for then you need to be prepared to put your hands deep into your pockets and strain on those current accounts and credit cards! (< Not encouraging the use of credit or finance lol) If you can't commit financially, don't let this stop a project, just expect it to take a little longer. With that said, patience is a virtue and all good things come to those who wait!
- Have a goal, a plan, even a mile stone for those longer projects in mind!! If your buying parts from overseas, you can expect them to take a fair bit longer to arrive than parts from UK mainland suppliers.
- Research is key when modifying your weapon system! Every Airsofter should know the parts, inners and workings of they're weapon if they expect to adjust and modify it. Don't just settle for the first rail, flashlight, gearbox or hop up that you see!! Shop around, research your parts! There's always a better offer around the corner.
- Take your time with modifications, we will all make mistakes, were only human after all!! You will know as well as i do that we naturally learn by our mistakes! Keep calm and mod on!.
- Fine tuning. Always tune your gun by shimming, correcting AOE, and re-greasing. Trial by error! Adapt and over come!
- When working on your weapon system, you should do this in a clean and tidy environment, the sofa will not suffice.. You need somewhere that you can lay your parts out without the worry of them being lost or misplaced! Keep your parts safe and well organized, parts to certain weapons with said weapon etc.
- If your struggling, do not let this stop your efforts! There are plenty of support staff and experienced Airsofters within Airsoft Tactical who will be more than happy to help with any issues or frustrations you my have! Just create a new thread in the Modifications l Maintenance l Repairs l Support forum.
- You don't always have to spend money on the materials needed to modify your gun! Being resourceful will more often than not pay off!!
- If your weapon system fails to fire, just put your hand up as you would if you had been hit, leave the arena to a safe zone and look at the problem, if you don't know what the problem is, strip your weapon! Field strip if your in an unsafe environment! Source the problem and do what you can to rectify said problem. If its a problem that you cant solve.. Ask for help! He who doesn't ask, shall not receive!
- Last but not least, have fun and enjoy your self! That's why you do what you do!! Happy shooting!
Hope this helps guys!!
